Congratulations to our
Fall 2011 Sorors

The Slidell chapter of Zeta Phi Beta, Tau Kappa Zeta Graduate Chapter, welcomes three new members to her illustrious sorority.

Ashley Clark, a native of Natchez, MS, is a 2006 graduate of Alcorn State University in Lorman, MS. She is currently pursuing a Master's of Science in Nursing- Family Nurse Practitioner at the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL. Ashley is employed as a registered nurse at the Long Term Acute Care hospital in Denham Springs.  When asked why did she become a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, her response was: “I wanted to become a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. because I have been blessed to have the support from my family, friends, and community.  Without them, I could not have achieved all that I have thus far.  I feel that I am able to give back to the community and to become a blessing in someone else's life. The principles that Zeta Phi Beta Sorority was founded on fit within my own character and what I wish to achieve.  I am proud to be a finer woman of Zeta Phi Beta and will do everything in my power to uplift the organization and what it represents.”

Shannon Dyson, a life-long resident of the Angie/Varnado, LA communities, is a graduate of Varnado High School.  She obtained a bachelor’s of science degree in family and consumer sciences from Southeastern Louisiana University.  Shannon is currently employed as a child welfare specialist with the State of Louisiana in the Department of Children and Family Services/Child Welfare.  When asked why did she want to become a member of Zeta Phi Beta, her response was: “Becoming a member of Zeta Phi Beta, is a wonderful accomplishment.  I love and believe in the principles, in which, Zeta was founded.  Also, the members of Zeta are very diverse, down-to-earth, positive individuals and these are qualities that I posses.”

Josilin Stafford, a native of Tampa, FL, is a criminal justice major pursuing a master’s degree at Albany State University in Albany, GA.  She is currently employed at Target as part of the presentation team.  She aspires to work as a Customs and Border Protection Officer or an officer of the Transportation Security Administration.  When asked why did she want to become a member of Zeta Phi Beta, her response was: “I wanted to become a Zeta because they believe in quality not quantity. They don' try to change you, just enhance what you already have. I love the fact that no matter where I go, Zetas are the most down-to-earth sorority I have met. Zetas don't just talk about community service, they do it.”
