Is it okay to attend other organizations' programs and events?
Yes. We want you to be sure that Zeta is the right path for you. This is a life long commitment. It takes a lot of hard work to pursue community service excellence, sisterhood, scholarship and sisterly love, but the rewards are unimaginable. back
Am I still eligible for membership in Zeta if I belong to another Greek-letter organization?
No. If you hold membership in another organization in the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), the Panhellenic Council (PHC), or the Multi-Cultural Greek Council (MGC), you are ineligible for membership in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. back
Are there any major requirements for membership that I should be aware of?
To be considered for membership, you must have earned at least a baccalaureate degree from a four year accredited university. Potential members must have a desire to give of their time, talents and efforts to serve the community and support their fellow members. back
If I meet all requirements specified, do I automatically receive an invitation for membership?
No. Our goal is to select women who not only meet the basic requirements, but also exceed them. As Zetas, we must continue our tradition of excellence in all aspects. Although membership in Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. is by invitation only, we encourage interested college degreed women who exhibit excellent personal character and who have a commitment to giving back to their communities through service to contact us. back
How much does it cost to join Zeta Phi Beta Sorority?
Every organization has a different requirement, which varies anywhere between 400 and 1000 dollars. Your initial membership fee will pay for new member materials, as well as go back to the sorority on national, regional, state, and chapter levels. Please remember that joining a sorority does require a financial commitment, as no organization can operate without funds. back
How do I become a member of Zeta Phi Beta?
Tau Kappa Zeta holds a yearly event for women
interested in becoming a member of Zeta Phi Beta
Sorority, Incorporated. This is an event where
we discuss and answer questions about our beloved
sisterhood, including membership requirements and
what we look for in candidates for membership.
Information will be posted on the
website giving the date, location, and time for
this meeting. Business attire is encouraged and
preferred at this event.

What is the "Membership Intake Process?"
NPHC organizations bring in new members through a process called Membership Intake. Each organization, including Zeta, sets an individual timetable as to when it will conduct Intake according to their national and local policies. Interested members are provided with general information regarding the intake process. Only if you are invited and accept our invitation to become a member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority will you be provided with more information. back
